A K9′s Summer

This summer marks the first (of many) we plan on spending with our basset hound Nancy. We have enjoyed discovering the dog park, finding creative ways to keep cool (ice cubes), and hanging out in the evenings at our favourite spot: our front porch balcony. Niagara Night

Canalside

This past Easter weekend Jesse and I visited his parents in Port Colborne, Ontario (close to Niagara Falls). We managed to sneak away one evening for a date night to one of my favourite Ontario restaurants Canalside. This pub is nestled in next to quaint boutiques and shops (Glam Girl to name one!). The pub has a fabulous view of ships traveling through the Welland Canal from across the world. On Saturday nights, enjoy live acoustic music from 8pm-11pm.

Peller Estates

Usually when you are entertaining a guest for a weekend, you want to do something creative, and almost “touristy”. I am new to the Ontario area, so really I feel like a tourist myself, and everything is new to me. This past weekend, my Father visited Jesse and I, and we spent an afternoon on a wine tour in Niagara on the Lake. We had so much fun, and learned a thing or two about Red, White and Ice Wine!
