I had the delight of helping out in a few areas of Ashley & Juans wedding last summer. By no means am I a videographer, but their wedding presented the perfect opportunity to try my (hopefully steady) hand at this art. It was such a fun afternoon and evening, and what a beautiful, happy, lovely couple to catch on tape. Enjoy!
One of my favourites tops online right now is the two tiered hoss chiffon top. its soft pink (nude) colour and black bow are the perfect mix to look angelic at your upcoming holiday party. Match with a black skirt, or pair of trousers, as well as a black pump, and you’re set! originally retails at $295.00; however, on jlofthouse it is $147.00. only one left, size small. Congratulations to Jillian and Dallen! We can’t believe a few years ago, a disaster double date (for the both of us) would ever lead to both couples getting hitched! Jill and Dal invited their closest friends to a rustic barn outside of Winnipeg, where they shared their “I do’s”, followed by a candlelit dinner in an upstairs loft. Only having a weekend in Winnipeg, we were grateful to have been included in this special day, not to mention getting to […]

Living in a new city usually means meeting new friends (well lets hope). We are extremely thankful for the many wonderful people we have met, and who have become dear friends, within such a short period of time. These photos document a well spent Thanksgiving Sunday with a few lovely people. Cheers.

It’s a pleasure being the visual merchandiser for Leslie’s Clothing. SO MANY beautiful things, I don’t know what to do with myself! I am amazed when people can actually leave the store empty handed! There is something for everyone, if you’re needing a treat, or needing to treat someone, come on down! More pictures here.

August is a crazy birthday month for our family. The 15th happens to be my darling Jesse’s birthday (and Uncle Bryan’s!). It’s not official until it hits the blog! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE, I LOVE YOU! Jesse on his birthday at his favourite bar & grill: Buffalo Wild Wings
This summer marks the first (of many) we plan on spending with our basset hound Nancy. We have enjoyed discovering the dog park, finding creative ways to keep cool (ice cubes), and hanging out in the evenings at our favourite spot: our front porch balcony. The balcony overlooks the street, it is equipped with a hammock, as well as a little bistro set. Nancy finds herself watching the kids play, while I enjoy a glass of wine, blogging my computer, […]

As a friend, I love this guy more then anything, as a fan, the same love is there, tainted… maybe just a bit; however you be the judge! Way to go Kris, on another fabulous song – not to mention fun, well played cabin weekend music video, featuring Oak + Oar clothing, created by Nice! Productions. If you’re reading this… please purchase the song off of Itunes (Pretty Face by Saint Kris ft Rup Monsta). You’re not just supporting a […]

My man Jesse showed me a thing or two in the baking world… (one I know little about). He lead by example… and baked banana chocolate chunk muffins, a recipe passed down from his Mama! Too cute – and delicious! I had to document this rare occasion of Jesse and I… baking! haha. Yes we wear matching jeans… #nudiedenimTook a quick break!\The final result!!! Recipe: 3 Large Bananas 3/4 cup of white sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 […]
Jess and I made cheese fondue to dip our pizza crusts in. Not the healthiest evening- but definitely delicious and fun! For an evening similar to ours… I suggest you: make or order your favourite pizza… crack open a beer and melt a delicious fondue together, while devouring it on your couch while watching a movie! EASY Fondue Recipe: 1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 1 tbsp. flour 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Dash cayenne (or add a dash of […]
I’ve been a busy girl these past few weeks… but nothing compares to this week! Sunday I was a representative of Leslie’s Clothing on set of a photoshoot, where I got to style a beautiful model named “Elle”. I’m so excited to see the result of these photos, I plan to use them in our “Spring/Summer” spread on the Leslie’s Clothing blog! Very cool. To-do lists are filling up… homework is taking over – not to mention our program has […]

During my reading week, a Winnipeg visit is a MUST! Due to my scheduling, I was only in Winnipeg for five full days which resulted in an action packed week. Friends and family were visited, an exciting Jets game was attended, boutiques and shops were interviewed/photographed (coming soon!), meetings were attended (exciting upcoming projects!), and I even squeezed in a photo shoot with Khammy at the Millennium Library! Jesse and I spent a day together shopping, watching basketball then ending […]

In describing the outcome of our Reduce-Reuse-Revolve fashion show, the word “success” might be an understatement. The London Music Hall was absolutely glowing with “love”. Fashion Merchandising students (in their second year) put on one spectacular evening for everyone, in hopes of raising money for “My Sisters Place”. The first year students of Fashion Merchandising, including myself, were the ones who created the garments (revamped good-will items) that were featured on the runway. Check out the pictures and captions below, […]

As i’m sure you’ve already read, our Fashion Merchandising program at Fanshawe is putting on a fashion show November 16th. Our theme is Reduce-Reuse-ReLOVE”, and to make this theme possible Good-Will Industries teamed up with us, and graciously donated several recycled items to each group participating in the show. My specific group created a pastel yellow wedding dress. The materials we used were: duvet cover, shear curtains, pearls, and Christmas ribbon. Below are the final results of our gown and […]
