A classmate and I created a fabulous “Set Fire to the Rain” themed window display at Leslie’s Clothing boutique. We were able to feature Leslie’s new spring jackets, as well as their Hunter rain boots. We as the merchandisers added our own personal touch with vinyl, unique looking rain/clouds, as well as umbrella’s! London’s weather compliments this window perfectly! Be sure to take a peak at our display, downtown at Leslie’s on Richmond Row!
Usually when you are entertaining a guest for a weekend, you want to do something creative, and almost “touristy”. I am new to the Ontario area, so really I feel like a tourist myself, and everything is new to me. This past weekend, my Father visited Jesse and I, and we spent an afternoon on a wine tour in Niagara on the Lake. We had so much fun, and learned a thing or two about Red, White and Ice Wine!
Luis and I are introducing a small collection to the Spring Runway this year called “Turbot & Brill”. Out of recycled materials, we are creating one garment that will walk the “Under the Sea” themed Fanshawe catwalk in March. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date with our collection throughout the upcoming weeks! For now I leave you with our sketches! <3
I’m very excited to report my employment at Leslie’s Clothing. Not only will I be a sales associate at this trendy boutique, I also will be their official social networker! One of the first booth’s I came across at the One of a Kind show was ‘Moon Rox’. The creator of Moon Rox, Monique definitely set the bar high for the rest of the booths at the show. I was so impressed with her jewelry, and the way her product was displayed. These fresh, fun and vibrant pieces are the perfect addition to any outfit you might wear! What inspires you to create the beautiful pieces Moon Rox has? This is one […]

Here are a few pictures that capture the essence of what our cozy [relaxed] weekends in Port Colborne look like for Jesse and I. Catching up on homework… [fashion merchandising], blogging-surfing-connecting… cozy in layers, warm by the fire, & infinite cups of tea Nancy sleeps the day away, and always sits herself in the beaming sun the three of us went for a drive downtown to shop, take pictures, and check out the boats in the canal…
Here are a few pictures snapped during my Toronto visit at the One of a Kind Show. I had the pleasure of attending this event as “press” and getting a sneak peak at the show before it was opened to the public! I was able to connect with many artists and designers that I am THRILLED to feature this year!!! Stay tuned!

While making a quick-trip into Toronto, my boy and I grabbed a bite to eat at a fabulous little Italian restaurant tucked away downtown. We both loved the authentic vibe, and outstanding character “Balsamico” gave us the moment we sat down at our table. Shortly after placing our drink order, we were served oven hot focaccia bread with balsamic vinegar & oil, followed by our order. I had a delicious chicken pasta. I cannot wait to return to Balsamico for […]
