We had the amazing opportunity of running the show for the most recent Cole + Parker lifestyle photo shoot for their new website! We had to accomplish 35 different scenes/lifestyles to represent each of the fun, vibrant socks. This meant styling 35+ different looks, finding 35+ locations, and a lots of propping! This was right up our alley, mixing business with pleasure, because we truly enjoyed the experience. We got to work with an amazing photographer, Justyna Sokolowski who was […]
I had the delight of helping out in a few areas of Ashley & Juans wedding last summer. By no means am I a videographer, but their wedding presented the perfect opportunity to try my (hopefully steady) hand at this art. It was such a fun afternoon and evening, and what a beautiful, happy, lovely couple to catch on tape. Enjoy!
Happy Easter Weekend! We cannot believe how quickly this year is flying by. We love spring for a number of reasons. When it comes to fashion, pastels are always such a beautiful switch up from the dreary winter layers. Below are a few spring-y photographs from a Parisian themed tea party we staged for a photo-shoot. Hope the Easter Bunny is treating you well. Jennifer & Jesse
The Fashion Merchandising program of Fanshawe College runs a store within the College called “Live Chic”, or as we call it “LC”. In a way, the store is used as a classroom environment, in which students are able to play out situations, techniques and strategies we learn in class, within an actual retail store. Students able to participate within all aspects, such as: merchandising, selling, managing, and buying. My passion for entrepreneurship was put to use, when partner Meg Dobbie […]

The stars aligned for Mr. + Mrs. Lofthouse. It is a rare happening; however, we both shared the same “day-off” together from work. Some might wonder what we do in our spare time together– two of our favourite things of course! Shopping and blogging. In early February 2013, at the corner of Oxford and Hyde Park Road, The Spectacle Company opened its doors to the city of London. We happen to love supporting local businesses with promotional blogging, so when […]

February 2013 marks our first time visiting Magic Market Week, in Las Vegas. Not getting into too many details of why, or what we were doing there… lets just say we had a marvelous time, met many new people, were introduced to some amazing new and old fashion brands/collections, + overall left Vegas feeling truly inspired. Here are a few pictures of our time in Vegas- both business and pleasure! Spring break has officially started for my class… so we […]
We decided to keep Valentine’s Day low key. We made dinner together, drank wine, and devoured a local shops top dessert selection. This was the perfect evening-in. Ricotta-Stuffed Pasta Boats Ingredients: 1 pkg (250 g) Jumbo Pasta Shells 1Tbsp Olive Oil 1 Container (475) Ricotta Cheese 1 Pckg (300 g) frozen spinach thawed 1 Cup grated parmesan cheese 1 Egg 1 Jar (270 mL) […]
Living life to the extreme. Whether it is desert heat, or a snow-day in London! This morning we woke up to a winter wonderland outside. We’re enjoying a family day at home, no work or school for us!
Short and sweet were the two words to describe my trip to Tucson, AZ. I had the pleasure of accompanying a friend at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. This was my first out of town buying-trip experience. My brain was a sponge, taking in every ounce of information. I absolutely loved every minute of the trip, whether it was buying, or creating some fabulous memories with my darling friend. This was the perfect trip, in preparation for MAGIC, in […]
I am in my last semester of Fashion Merchandising, and one of our classes is Photo Styling. Below are some photographs I took for our first (simple) assignment of stacking. I chose to advertise for Pottery Barn; however, I tweaked these pictures to suit J. Lofthouse. Enjoy!
Trend Forecasting isn’t just a hobby, but an integral skill required to be successful in the fashion business. Using WGSN as a research tool… we have scouted out a few looks that might be gracing your wardrobes sooner, than later.
This holiday season J. Lofthouse was hired to decorate the common area of a downtown corporate building. Within the budget we transformed gold and red past year decorations to white and silver! Simple, yet elegant! Here are a few pictures of the results: If you’re ever in need of a little corporate, or home decorating, give us a shout! We’d love to help!
