A couple weeks ago I dragged my poor friend out to Wortley Village to pick up some window frames that were up for grabs at the end of a driveway. We packed as many as we could into my already full car. For a few weeks these beat up, old, frames sat in my living room. Today is the day I finally “DID IT MYSELF”, and I must say I love how beautiful the frames transformed into hanging art! We have recently leased a new apartment, I can’t wait to hang these frames on the walls in July!
Supplies:
- 3 old window frames
- 2 sheets of sandpaper
-Acrylic Paint (I chose white)
-Paint Brush
-Lace/Fabric of choice
-Scissors
-Staple Gun
Instructions:
Sandpaper your frame, apply two coats of paint, let dry, if you wish for a rustic weathered look to the frame, sandpaper (hard) the edges of the frame until wood shows through. Turn frame around so the back is facing you, staple the edges of your fabric to the edges of your frame (as tight as possible). Trim off access fabric… VOILA!
