As i’m sure you’ve already read, our Fashion Merchandising program at Fanshawe is putting on a fashion show November 16th. Our theme is Reduce-Reuse-ReLOVE”, and to make this theme possible Good-Will Industries teamed up with us, and graciously donated several recycled items to each group participating in the show.
My specific group created a pastel yellow wedding dress. The materials we used were: duvet cover, shear curtains, pearls, and Christmas ribbon. Below are the final results of our gown and headpiece/veil. Please join us on November 16th, to watch our dress, as well as many other fabulous student-made garments walk down the runway!
Ta ta for now!

Love the Idea of reused materials. I have been making and selling accessories out of old t shirts I get from the thrift store. They have become more popular then I imagined. It gives me a little cash for coffee, and I guess now for Christmas presents.
that’s awesome- it’s unfortunate how much can go to waste!!! I love vintage, and re-used — lets hope it’s not just a trend but a lifestyle with others too!
That dress is amazing, so beautiful. You guys did a great job:)
