Bata Shoe Museum

On a recent visit to downtown Toronto, my morning was spent at the Bata Shoe Museum where I got to experience different footwear over the past 4500 years! Not only did I get to view these historic shoes, I also increased my knowledge in regards to the evolution of the shoes, their uses over time, and the method and materials used to create!   I especially enjoyed viewing a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s  Sarah Jessica Parker wore in Sex and the City, as well as shoes worn at the Canadian Juno Awards (Bieber anyone?).  I highly recommend this museum for any Toronto tourists, or even locals who might not have checked it out yet!

Enjoy a couples snaps I took at the museum!

  1. Now that you have posted this museum, I would actually go! It looks really interesting – kind of “Smithsonian”. Funny I thought you said “battleship” and wondered why fashion students would visit a naval museum.
