The Fashion Merchandising program at Fanshawe is putting on a fashion show in November themed “Reduce-Reuse-ReLOVE”. The show will be featuring articles of clothing donated by the Good-Will Industries. In turn we as merchandising students will be re-vamping our second-hand looks for the runway. The fashion show will be raising money and awareness towards “My Sister’s Place” and of course, Good Will. If you’re in the London area on November 16th, be sure to snag some tickets to this fabulous, […]
On a recent visit to downtown Toronto, my morning was spent at the Bata Shoe Museum where I got to experience different footwear over the past 4500 years! Not only did I get to view these historic shoes, I also increased my knowledge in regards to the evolution of the shoes, their uses over time, and the method and materials used to create! I especially enjoyed viewing a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s Sarah Jessica Parker wore in Sex and […]
A couple babes- keeping warm in their black beanies. Keeping it ‘green’ on this fantastic retro bicycle. A city couple keeping it real. Style report… what did I observe from this trip downtown? Street style is loving combat boots! If you don’t already have a pair- pick some up from Aldo for $140.00.
Tomorrow is a classy-class trip to T-DOT! We’ll be getting a special tour of the Bata Shoe Museum- and of course, class “shopping” is scheduled into the agenda… gotta love fashion school! <3 I’m bringing along the canon- hopefully snag a few nice shots tumblr… maybe even J. Lofthouse worthy! Ta ta for now!

Style Nine to Five‘s most recent post features some truly fantastic Winnipeg Fashion blogs (including yours truly). I’m very excited to feature Christie Lohr, the creator of Style Nine to Five, in a future J. Lofthouse post. Also I’m looking forward to teaming up with some fellow Winnipeg bloggers who were as well featured in the Style Nine to Five post, and making quite the name for themselves! Stay tuned! Ta ta for now!
It’s a rare occasion that I find a book that truly intrigues me enough to order it online and dive into right away, the UPS man couldn’t hand it over quick enough! Sleeping With the Enemy: Coco Chanel’s Secret War was recommended to me by my visual merchandising professor during one of her lectures. My teachers brief description of the book had me frantically trying to find a paper and pen to write the name of the book down. As […]
