Two wonderful eye-candy places to check out if you’re ever in the Ontario region are Port Perry and the Parkwood Estate.
Port Perry has a lovely strip of stores and often close off the main-drag to host some type of festival. It’s a charming little city fulfilling any small-town experience you might have been deprived of! We happened to stop off in Port Perry during the chili-tasting festival.
Parkwood Estate is a national historic site that is open to the public. This grand estate offers tours throughout the week and features the most gorgeous architecture, interior designs, and landscape of the 1920′s and 1930′s. Pictures are not allowed inside the estates buildings to preserve the artwork and textiles, however I did snap a few shots of the beautiful grounds.
